~~~~~*RULES*~~~~~
REGISTRATION!!
* When registering an account, be sure to use the first and last name of your character.
* You will need to complete the provided application. All part of the application must be completed. This goes for players the admins know as well as those we do not. Too many players that know the admins have been laxing on completing areas such as the RP sample. This is part of the application and needs to be included! (Once you have at least one established character, you may simply refer to that character's posts in any new applications, but for the first one at least, an RP sample MUST be provided.
* A signature for your character is not required, but an avatar at least is. If you are playing a canon character, the celebrity chosen for that canon is the one you should use. The look of the person is up to you as long as it's the same person.
Avatars cannot be any larger than 100 x 100.
Signature cannot be any larger than 500x300.
Do NOT stretch the board with the signature or avatar!
* There will be NO fighting or bickering amongst players. PERIOD. There are no exceptions on this one. The only drama on this board will be between characters. Fighting, picking on other players, or anything else that would happen in junior high school is not welcome here.
* If you absolutely must bring something another player has done to someone's attention, PM one of the admins. This will be the ONLY accepted course of action on your part. Any slamming in the cbox/shoutbox will warrant an automatic warning against all your characters and could result in your characters being removed from play.
* Once you have registered, you may immediate reserve an avatar for your character. You will have 5 days to submit the application for a CANON character, and 7 days for ORIGINAL characters.
* Be sure to check the avatar claim BEFORE you decide who your avatar will be. We will NOT allow doppelgangers here. Twins may be allowed but ONLY by BOTH players consent.
CHECK IT!!
* All players are expected to have read the rules, and all will be expected to adhere to them. There is no excuse for not reading them, and no excuse for not reading them will be acceptable.
* At present, there is no limit on the number of characters a player may have at any given time. The only requirement here is that you keep ALL your characters ACTIVE! If you are constantly posting one of your characters but taking several days or even weeks between posting another, you do run the risk of losing the other.
* We will conduct random activity checks. Right now, there is not a specific frequency of how often they will occur, but that may change at any time. All players will be responsible for the activity check and if they do not reply to it, any and all characters (canons especially) run the risk of being adopted out.
* Each player will be expected to evenly distribute the sexes of their characters. If you are already playing two girls, try choosing a male for your next character. We don't want a board of all guys or all girls. It's just no fun that way.
* There will be absolutely no god-modding. We all know what this means, but just in case, this means forcing the other character to do something that they may not want to do by writing in your own post actions or thoughts that the other character has not necessarily done or said. Don't abuse your power here. It won't be tolerated.
THE APPLICATION!!
* Be reasonable! Do not get carried away with your character's abilities or good looks. Face it, no one is perfect, and your character should have flaws. No one is perfectly beautiful, either. Do not put the focus entirely on how beautiful or sexy your character is. Even the most beautiful females in Hollywood have something about them they wish they could change. Keep this in mind!
* Patience is key on waiting for your character to be approved. The admins are usually around just about every day, if not, every other day. Your application will be reviewed and a decision made as quickly as possible. Please do not PM us or poke us in the cbox about looking at your app. While you're waiting, feel free to peruse the board, see what others are doing, and be developing some ideas of your own.
* As previously stated, be sure to use the celebrity provided if you chose to play a canon character. They were chosen the way they were for specific reasons, and need to be kept as they are. If you think you absolutely must have a different celeb for a certain canon, you may PM the admins to plead your case. The decision of the admin is FINAL.
* If you chose to play a canon, you will be expected to be diverse in who you post with. Considering the nature of the characters, some canons may not ever post directly with each other. That's okay. But please do not limit yourself to posting only with one or two other characters. Don't tag the same person in every thread you start. We don't have an extremely large canon list, but it's diverse enough that you can find someone else to tag and post with.
* Original characters are allowed and you will have 7 days to put up a biography, once again we think that is a reasonable amount of time. If you decide to have your character to be related to one of the canon characters then please contact the person you want your character to be related to first. If you want to give someone a cousin, contact them first to make sure it's okay. DO NOT assume.
THE RATING!!
* Not everything that happens in the world is lollipops and puppies. There will be mature material.
* Sex -- Yeah, we get it. Sex is common place occurrence. We're not going to stop your characters from knocking boots in the back seat if you so choose. We do ask, however, that you be reasonable with it! Everybody has certain needs and desires, but don't use this board to entertain them 24/7.
* Rape -- At the present time, we DO require admin approval on rape situations, and BOTH players must be in complete consent before it occurs. If ANY player is getting too sexually violent with another character without consent, the character in question will be warned, and on a second offense, will be deleted from play. That's it. No third chances here.
Again, BE REASONABLE!! We do not want a board running rampant with sexually charged characters that are just out to get their jollies by abusing other characters.
* Pregnancy -- All pregnancies must be APPROVED by an ADMIN. We don't want a baby boom.
* Profanity -- As we all know, some people are just a bit of a potty mouth, but even they can show some restraint. While profanity is allowed, don't go overboard with it.
* Violence -- Well, duh!! It's gonna happen. I mean, come on... this is the real world, after all. Characters will be hurt, and some may even be killed.
ALL deaths must receive ADMIN APPROVAL!! No exceptions here, either. (This includes suicides!)
IN CONCLUSION!!
* This board is intended to be fun! We don't want a bunch of drama queens coming in and running amock. The admi and Moderators won't tolerate it.
* There are so many ideas that can be played out here, and have the potential to be really great story lines. Don't hesitate to share your ideas! Talk to other players. PM them, or check to see if they have a plot page that you can respond to. Talk to each other and plot and plan.
* Please, please, PLEASE! Proofread your posts before you post and capitalize what needs to be capitalized. Small mistakes here and there are fine because we know not everyone is perfect, but at least just give your message a once over before you post.
* Last, but not least, stay active! We understand that real life events come up and sometimes it gets hard to be around every single day. We also have had experiences with players that will disappear for a month at a time and come back expecting to be able to pick up where they left off. This will NOT be accepted!! If you know ahead of time you're going to be gone, let us know by posting it in the ABSENCE forum.
If any character is inactive for two weeks or more without prior explanation, the character account will be placed on inactive status and will not be able to post anywhere on the board. You will be required to contact an admin to explain your absence. It will be up to the admin whether or not to reinstate your account. Decisions of the admins are FINAL!
Once your character is placed on Inactive status, you will have 2 weeks to contact an admin. If you do not do so within that time, the account will be deleted.
